A LOOK BACK
August 28th, 2022
Okay we have all been there. It is spring of your senior year and the $64,000 question which everyone who has ever known you on planet Earth wants to know, “Where are you going to college?” Think back to your senior year in high school and recall how many times you answered that question AND how many times you had to explain your answer. It usually lasted 15- 20 minutes until you finished, BUT, you repeated it over and over and over again until the cows came home- and to aunts, uncles, cousins, distant relatives who you have seen once in your life, neighbors, friend of neighbors, the postman. Okay I admit to going overboard just a bit but I think you get where I am going with this.
This article has 3 parts. First off, I apologize to the class of 2022. If I had written this sooner I could have saved you a lot of explanations. The 1st part is a catch up of Malvern players prior to the season of 2021. This program can be very proud of the track record of how may players they send onto college. For the size of the school, it is truly impressive. The 2nd part is current 2022 seniors and where they chose to play next year. With the transfer portal and NILS who knows what the future holds for them. One thing I do know, as Malvern guys, whatever they do and wherever they finish, I am confident that they will represent themself, their family, Malvern Prep and the Malvern Prep football legacy. Part 3 is the multi-sport athlete. Malvern football has had great success over the years because some of their best football players played another sport in college. Football was their secondary not primary sport. These players excelled at both, a true two for one deal.
Take a look at the range and quality of schools these Malvern Prep student-athletes chose. They are to be congratulated on a job well done.
